School Resource Officer

Our School Resource Officer (SRO) program is a collaboration between the Lancaster Police Department and the Lancaster School District, with the intention of creating and maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment for students and staff. The SRO program is designed to help prevent juvenile delinquency by promoting positive relations between youth and law enforcement. SROs are responsible for preventing crime and ensuring safety in primary and secondary schools. SROs serve to improve relationships and act as liaisons between students, law enforcement, and the community. SROs should be considered a resource for both the student and their families.
